| The Support Services at Harney District Hospital run the gamut from Cafeteria Cooks to Pharmacists, but their ultimate concern is still the welfare of the patient. From spotlessly clean rooms to timely and accurate prescription medications, we do our best to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. |
Cafeteria |

The Cafeteria is open throughout the day to serve patient meals, as well as visitors and hospital staff. Stop by for a quick snack or lunch. |

Housekeeping |

Your Housekeeping staff makes sure everything in the hospital is neat and tidy. Every area of the hospital is cleaned each day; more often if the area is used more than once throughout the day. If only we could get our homes this clean! The Housekeeping Department also maintains the Sharps hazardous waste container program for Harney County. Simply contact Housekeeping at 573-8374 for information or to get containers. Containers are provided at no charge and you may exhange your full one for an empty one at the hospital when necessary. Pharmacy |

The Harney District Hospital Pharmacy is part of an electronic network which ensures safety for hospital patients. All medications are checked against your patient profile to make sure you only receive dosages and prescriptions as outlined by your healthcare provider. The system also checks for drug interactions and allergies which increases your level of safety. |

Maintenance |

The Hospital Maintenance crew takes care of all those 'honey-do' projects around the facility and keep it looking nice. Look for them in the building and out in the yard. |

Materials Management |
|||
The Materials Management Department enables all Harney District Hospital departments to take better care of their patients. Purchasing orders all hospital supplies, delivers to each department...even stocks areas so items are readily available when needed. In addition, they are responsible for receiving and sending all UPS shipping for the hospital. What's New: Materials Management is currently working on an electronic conversion to bar codes which will track all department supplies and inventories. In addition, they are enjoying the neatly organized space in their new department! |
