Our clinical staff come from all across the United States, drawn by these 'work-related' amenities. Even more important, staff members consistently note their ability to actually connect with their 'assembly-line' practice here! But there is so much more!!

The official Jobs Board for Harney District Hospital is located on the downstairs level of the facility near the elevator.

We consider applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital or veteran status, the presence of a non-job-related medical condition or handicap, or any other legally protected status.

Harney District Hospital requires drug screening for illegal drugs and a criminal background check prior to any offer of employment.

Ask yourself...
* Are you spending more time commuting in your car than with your family?
* Are you wasting too much of your weekend trying to 'get away' for the weekend?
* Are you rushing home (which looks like every 4th house in a sprawling suburban development) so you can drive another 45 minutes to your child's soccer practice?

Shouldn't there be more?

Imagine commuting to work in 10 minutes or less, beautiful wide-open spaces, recreational opportunities just down the road and a true feeling of community not found in suburban culture. Imagine actually knowing your patients; as parents of your child's classmates, as civic leaders, as the person who sits next to you at high school basketball games. Imagine being part of a community which welcomes your talents and makes it easy to get involved.

Harney District Hospital

Harney District Hospital (HDH) has a history of pursuing leading edge projects.  Innovation at HDH ranges from installing a wood pellet heating system in the new facility (saving tens of thousands of dollars in heating costs) to developing physician coverage models for Emergency and Surgery.  With the new hospital facility and a staff skilled and growing, HDH is expanding to include an appropriate range of procedures and services which encourage patients to seek care at home.

Currently, people make a 130 mile drive for various surgical services; then drive another 130 miles back home to Harney County.  This is not the best care we can give, nor is it the healthiest option for the patient. Anyone in the health care field is aware of the alarming possibility of readmission after surgery.

Be part of this unique and exciting opportunity to add services for our local community while supporting a flexible schedule for our providers.
