EMT - Basic Description:

To provide pre-hospital care and transportation of sick or injured persons to medical facility, working as a member of the emergency medical team. Provide in-hospital care within scope and protocol of certification. For a complete copy of the job description, contact the Human Resources department.

Hours/Days: Casual (cover on-call shifts as needed and attend regular EMS meetings)

Salary:

$10.65 - $14.21

Qualifications:

Possession of current EMT-B certificate issued by the State of Oregon or ability to acquire by the time of appointment. Possession of Basic Trauma Life Support or equivalent within 6 months of appointment. Possession of a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.

CNA, Part-Time Days Description:

Provide patient care which includes but is not limited to, bathing, oral hygiene, assisting patient to restroom/shower, assisting patient with meals, performing vital signs, documenting and monitoring patient information. Reports to and cooperates with RN’s and physicians in providing patient care.

Hours/Days: Part-time, days. Successful candidate must be available both weekeds and weekdays.

Salary:

$10.65 - $14.31

Qualifications:

Must have current Oregon C.N.A. certificate, in good standing. Experience and C.N.A. 2 certification preferred. Demonstrated skills in documentation and communication. Must have physical ability to assist patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, commodes, etc.

Cook Description:

Prepares meals, snacks and other nourishments for patients, staff, luncheons and guest trays for in-service and special functions in a timely manner. Follow all proper food handling and storage requirements.

Additional duties include washing dishes, stocking shelves, performing general cleaning to maintain safety and sanitation standards, working directly and cooperatively with the Dietary Services Manager and all staff.

Hours/Days: Full-time

$10.66 - $14.33

Qualifications:

Mandatory Requirements: Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques and food safety requirements, good personal hygiene practices, general record keeping methods, ability to read and write in English language and understand basic mathematics. Equivalent to a high school education, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.

Desirable Requirements: Previous food service experience in an institutional or similar environment. Possession of Oregon Foodhandlers card at time of appointment. Possession of CPR card at time of appointment. Knowledge of basic computer skills.

Special Requirements and licenses: Must possess Oregon Food handlers card within 30 days of appointment. Must possess CPR card within 180 days of appointment.

Paramedic Description:

Duties: Function as a member of the Emergency medical team providing pre-hospital care and transportation of sick or injured persons. Perform duties related to furthering department mission, such as readiness, planning and execution of assigned roles. Identify hazards and opportunities for improvement in performance and safety. Assist within the hospital to provide support in the Emergency and Med Surg departments. Operate emergency vehicle in a safe manner.

Hours/Days: Full-time

$16.71 - $22.46

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of emergency medical delivery methods and operation of specialized emergency medical equipment.
  • Knowledge of safe driving techniques, especially with specialized emergency medical vehicles.
  • Knowledge of computer applications software and general office procedures.
  • Ability to provide effective rescue team leadership at emergency scenes.
  • Equivalent to a high school education supplemented with additional specialized emergency medical training and over three (3) years emergency medical experience or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.

Requirements and licenses : Possession of current Paramedic (EMT – P) certificate issued by the State of Oregon and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certificate or ability to acquire by the time of appointment. Possession of Basic Trauma Life Support or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support certificate or equivalent within six (6) months of appointment. Possession of valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and valid CPR-HCP card.

Preferred: Possession of BTLS or PHTLS at time of appointment . Previous emergency medical experience in a hospital environment.
