Admissions and Discharges

The Admissions Department is where everything begins at Harney District Hospital. Be aware that your information is fully covered by HIPPA privacy regulations and our own hospital confidentiality standards.
Because surgical patient stays are more involved, admission for surgery patients begin with a pre-registration process. Contact Tanya Howell, 573-8605, for more information.

While the hospital computer system keeps your information on file, always be prepared to update that information, especially if you have moved, changed insurance or changed jobs since your last visit. Things to bring:

Complete and accurate information allows proper billing of your insurance company. Please contact the Admissions Department if you have any questions at (541) 573-8351.

Billing Services

Did you get a bill you don't understand or believe the charges may be wrong? Please contact the Billing Department today. Their staff is ready to help you with any questions you may have. From the initial billing to your insurance company, through the processing of insurance and personal payments, to follow-up on bills where insurance declined to make any payment, the Billing Department will make sure your hospital charges are taken care of in an accurate, efficient manner.

What's New in Billing??: The Harney Health District Board recently authorized a 10% discount for those patients who pay their bill within 30 days. Save some cash by paying early!!

Harney District Hospital provides a financial assistance program for its patients. This program may lend assistance in the form of adjustments or payment plans to help patients pay for their hospital services. Please contact us if you have questions about the program.

Health Information Management

Copies of Birth Certificates can be issued by the Health Information Management office. This certificate is not the same as a Certificate of Live Birth necessary for travel or official use. To get a copy of the Certificate of Live Birth you must contact the Vital Statistics office in the state where the child was born.
